About
Miguel Lizada earned his Bachelor of Arts, Major in Literature English, Minor in Filipino Literature from the Ateneo de Manila University where he subsequently taught language (compositions and rhetoric) and literature before leaving for postgraduate work. He recently earned his MA in Literary Studies at the National University of Singapore. His thesis was on gay poets and the urbanism of Manila and Singapore.
His research interests are gender studies/queer theory, urbanism and cosmopolitanism (as they relate to literary and cultural production), poetry (criticism and creative writing) and popular culture.
